Kids of the Kingdom Preschool is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant for our preschool office.

Kids of the Kingdom is a faith-based preschool that serves children 18 months-5 years old. This is an outreach ministry of Lord of Life Lutheran church located in The Woodlands. We are seeking a part-time, year-round Administrative Assistant to work in the school office assisting the Preschool Director with administrative and office duties relating to the preschool. These duties include maintaining all financial records, student records, school supply purchasing, and customer service while performing a wide variety of other office duties and representing Kids of the Kingdom in a professional manner. This is a part time, salaried position. During school sessions the Administrative Assistant must be on the premises 8:00-3:00 Monday-Thursday. Summer hours by arrangement.
Applicants for this position should possess a minimum high school diploma or equivalent with two years of experience in a licensed childcare setting. Previous experience in all aspects of managing day to day operations of a small office is beneficial. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office systems and the ability to quickly learn other operating programs is essential. Must be a self-starter and able to work in a busy environment with minimal supervision. Excellent organization skills are required. Should have a loving approach to young children and the ability to interface with parents and teachers. Must be able to lift a 40 lb. child and be able to move freely maneuvering up and down from the floor.
Essential Functions:
  • Accounting: Accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and bank reconciliation
  • Record Keeping: Maintain student records in accordance with child care licensing requirements
  • Purchasing: Oversee weekly inventory of all school and office supplies
  • Customer Service: Must possess strong professional work ethic and have pleasant and polite personality in answering phones and assisting parents and teaching staff. Greet and assist parents and visitors as needed. Arrange tours of the facility, classroom visits when appropriate, and provide information as requested by parents or prospective enrollees

Lord of Life Lutheran Church is seeking paid part-time Nursery Attendants 18 years of age and older and Nursery Attendant Assistants 15 years of age and older.

Nursery attendants and assistants create a safe, caring, God-centered environment for all children who are placed in the Lord of Life Nursery.

Nursery Attendant pay rate is $13.50 per hour.

Nursery Attendant Assistant pay rate is $10.00 per hour.

Job Description:

  • Responsible for age-appropriate care which includes: feeding, changing diapers, maintaining a safe environment, putting children down for naps, holding, sitting with, and cheerfully interacting with children through games, stories, crafts and play.
  • With the Nursery Coordinator, carry out age-appropriate lessons/activities on Sunday mornings during worship.
  • Be polite, friendly and courteous to all children and parents.
  • Arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled shift.
  • Stay until all children are secured with the adult named on the sign-in form.
  • Straighten/clean room and clean any used toys/equipment prior to opening and before leaving.
  • Abide by the nursery policies and procedures.
  • Report to the Nursery Coordinator.


  • Preferred experienced in the care of children 0-5 years of age with the ability to adapt and interact with a variety of personalities/characteristics.
  • A nursery attendant will be 18 years of age or older and a nursery attendant assistant will be 15 years of age or older.
  • Pass a background check through Lord of Life Lutheran Church.
  • CPR/First Aid certified for infants and children or complete certification within one month of hire date.
  • Must be able to  lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for child safety, and potential emergency situations.
  • Complete the Lord of Life Safe Sanctuary Training
Be available on Sunday mornings and at least two other weeknights. Nursery attendants and nursery attendant assistant will also be asked to work special events and holidays. Hours will vary based on program needs.
